I'm getting blue highlights: should i change my actual hair colour before I get it done?

My hair right now is a reddish-blonde. I am planning on getting blue highlights in my hair and I was wondering if i should change my cloour b4 i get it done. I could put Sun-In in my hair and let it lighten naturally or I could stay inside and let it turn darker. Which would look cooler? P.S. I'm not going to dye my hair bc it's already damaged from overdyeing it. Thanks!

you should lighten it because the blue wouldnt look good with a reddish tone try using the Sun-in and if that doesnt work try lemons they work too

or if you want to go darker their a way you can do it with chamonile tea
