Help! My recently colored hair is being weird.?

I died my hair late last night with Manic-Panic Midnight blue hair color, and It looked great. I loved it!

But I washed it tonight, about 21 hours later, and its gone, mostly. I knew it would fade, but not this fast. It looks like a faded green!

So, my question is, what do I do? Is it safe to try to re-do it? Im afraid that I washed it too soon, or that I should have used vinegar.

Please help me!!!!

It's safe to redo, it's only semi-permanent color. This time, put on a plastic cap and apply heat to it. Leave it on for 30 minutes. The Midnight Blue currently in my hair has been there for about a month, lol. Also, make sure you're using color safe shampoo.

Wow - I've never had Manic Panic fade that fast! It could be that your hair just doesn't like to hold colour. It is safe to re-do it, though - Manic Panic is very gentle and I've used it about every week or so when my hair starts to fade.

Do you have blonde hair? b/c that happened to someone i know and they just tried it again and it worked.=]

If you died your hair blond the color wont stay in your hair. Once you do any type of highlighting to your hair the cuticles never close back up like they would when you dye it with a normal hair dye. Because of this the hair dye will not stay in your hair. You could dye it again, but just don't wash it everyday
