How can I go about dying my hair blue?

I'm kinda looking for ways to do it at home, if possible. I've heard you can do it with kool-aid but I'm not sure how to go about that or if it'll damage my hair, so can anyone help me out? And also, my hair is naturally dark brown, but at the moment is dyed red, so should I dye it blonde for a lighter blue?

Search the stores for a Black/Blue...it will have shades of indigo in it..not cobalt. Or ask this at a salon...they will tell u how to concoct your colour of preference...I did it and it worked!...enchanting!

it might not be what you wanna do but because your hair is dyed red already you might wanna go to a professional...i've done the whole dying thing over dye and it did not work...and a professional will really do a good job and it might last longer...good luck

koolaid won't damage your hair but it is messy and only stays in for about a day and as soon as u wash your hair the koolaid will wash out. i would go 2 a professional don't try it @ home because your hair has already soaked up the blue hair dye so there isin't room for more unless u get a major dye that only professionals have. no matter what u do your going 2 damage your hair so i recommend a deep conditioning system of some type.

to get it blue you need to totally bleach your hair. This will destroy your hair. I would dye it a light to medium brown and put got2b color heads styling glue. They come in blue, red, purple and they wash out. You get the look without the commitment and the damage.
