i'm 13 and i have blonde hair and blue eyes. i am fed up with the sterotype of us having b***hy attitudes, people thinking we are sluts and that we aren't just as smart as other people. what is your opinion on this or do you not even think of a blonde like that? what should i do when someone says that to me?

i guess it started out from the valley girls, who "all" are blonde haired, blue eyed, and stupid. let me tell you, although i live in texas, i was born in california, in the valley. i have brown hair and brown eyes, almost everyone does where i'm from, and nobody who is blonde is stupid.

when someone tells you that, ask them if they ate a big bowl of stupid for breakfast, and walk away. ignore anyone who wants to make fun of you.

I'm male, but blonde haired and blue eyed (it's often dyed black though). I can't step outside my apartment without being asked for change. Everyone assumes that I'm wealthy, priviliged, and completely disconnected and unaware of what actually goes on in society, which actively pisses me off.

My family was working class. I went to crap schools. We were on WIC and food stamps at one point. I grew up thinking that there was nothing abnormal about your utilities being cut off for the last couple days of the month, I've got scars from fights, I've buried more friends than any 24 year old should have.

The whole stereotype, especially with girls, is that since you're the American "ideal" you don't actually have to work on making yourself into a sophisticated, thoughtful, respectable person; that you just figure you'll snare someone and live off them. If you're a guy, it's that you don't have to focus on that either... you'll just get a job at your dad's company straight after school.

Prove them wrong. Prove to them that you aren't a slut, you aren't dumb, you're a strong and respectable person and don't let them get away with their prejuduces; I won't tolerate people around me mocking Asians or Latinos or blacks, so why would I tolerate them mocking me, you, my sisters? It is just as wrong as any other wholesale stereotype.

blondes are not stupid at all. just maybe, people that aren't smart happen to be blonde. which is where the stereotype originates. some of the smartest people I know are blonde and some of the dumbest are not.
